Designers, Analysts and Managers have Access to Real-Time Project Progress within the Comet Project Dashboard
Comet's Project Dashboard is a summary view - visible by any level within your organization - which displays how a design meets product and simulation requirements. With the push of a button, design engineers validate concepts to determine if changes to the design are necessary to meet requirements. Green - meets specification. Yellow - close to specification. Red - out of specification.
How does it work?
- Each requirement is defined as a metric with constraints and is added by Analysts to the Simulation Template
- The dashboard extracts requirements (customer, regulatory, internal best practices, etc.) from simulation templates and compares results across concepts and iterations
- Following the creation of new geometry or after making changes to existing geometry, designer engineers control parameters through Comet which automatically updates the Project Dashboard with new results
Project Dashboard Benefits
Provides non-experts and Managers a dashboard view to track project progress
Determine if project milestones are being met
Perform instant design reviews with full access to design and simulation data
Eliminate the need to enter data into static documents (i.e. excel or PowerPoint)
Empower design engineer to validate own concepts
Tracking of project, product and process allow better decisions on current / future projects
Compare concepts early to choose best concepts - improve innovation
Perform higher fidelity "what-if" trade studies more easily
Engineers in multiple locations share/track data resulting in concurrent workflow
